Fiat Lux Language School exists to see people thrive in the language that connects the world. We are located in the Baan Mai neighborhood of Chiang Rai, right across from the Chiang Rai International School. We welcome students from all over Chiang Rai and from many different nationalities, ages, and skill levels.

Marcia was born and raised in the US. While English is her native language, she is also conversant in Korean, Thai and Spanish. Marcia enjoys teaching learners of all ages and levels from kindergarten to adults preparing for graduate studies abroad. She is especially interested in helping her students with pronunciation and elocution. Her passion is to see her students acquire both language skills and a love for learning!

renee vezeau - English teacher

Born and raised in California, Renee first started teaching English in San Francisco to students from all over the world. She has lived in Chiang Rai for nearly seven years, adding Thai as her third language. While English is her native language she is also conversant in Cantonese. She is passionate about helping people achieve their language goals, especially those preparing for IELTS and TOEFL!

Born and raised in Brisbane, Australia, Christine has lived in Thailand for 8 years. She has experience teaching students from kindergarten to adulthood and enjoys teaching students of all ages. She is passionate about helping people learn English and giving them the skills needed to succeed in their everyday life.

Jinda charungmunpaiboon - head of school

Jinda graduated from Chiang Rai Rajabhat University, after which she taught at a private school in Chiang Mia. In 2016, she received the Outstanding Teacher Award from the selection of the Chiang Mai Private Schools Association. After teaching for 5 years, Jinda returned to Chiang Rai to be with her family. Jinda hopes that students can receive a quality education and grow to thrive in society.

Mitch has called Thailand home for over 8 years, but his passion for Southeast Asia began long before that. Alongside his wife Renee, they cherish the rich culture and sense of community here. Mitch's love for teaching has grown through his years of experience at Chiang Rai International School, where he continues to teach and inspire young learners. Now, at Fiat Lux Language School, he is committed to helping students excel academically and grow into confident, capable adults.
